Third Annual Spring Into Action Fundraising Event

Uniting our community to benefit Doctors Without Borders with their humanitarian efforts in Palestine

Join us Sunday, April 21st, 2024, to support the Pilar’s Foundation Fundraising Event benefiting “Doctors Without Borders” in their Humanitarian Relief Efforts in Palestine

We'll be hosting a fundraising open house with Food, Refreshments, Live Music, and a Silent Auction

Pilar’s Foundation Stands with and supports Doctors Without Borders, benefiting their life-saving humanitarian efforts for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Doctors Without Borders/ Medecins San Frontieres(MSF) provides independent, impartial humanitarian medical aid in over 70 countries. MSF provides medical care with empathy and compassion to all patients, regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or politics.

This community fundraising event, sponsored by the “Pilar’s Foundation,” will be held at Zion Lutheran Church and will feature food from Pilar’s Tamales of Ann Arbor and other contributing local food establishments. The event will also feature live music from local musicians, a Pinata and candy, and a Silent Auction. All are featuring items from local businesses. The event will be in the Lower Community Room at Zion Lutheran Church, where there will be music, refreshments, sit-down seating for dining, and Silent Auction bidding.

Meals will be served for sit-down dining at Zion Lutheran Church at 1501 W. Liberty, Ann Arbor from between 4pm-6pm on Sunday, April 21st, 2024.

$75 for Adults – Ticket Includes Pilar’s Tamale Meal that includes; one Pilar’s Tamale, curtido, casamiento - beans and rice, Hibiscus Iced Tea and other delicious foods and gift items donated by local restaurants.

$35 for Students with ID and children 16 and under – Ticket includes one Pilar’s Tamale, curtido, Hibiscus Iced Tea, one slice of Faz Pizza, cookie or brownie baked by Zion Church.

In addition, we are grateful that many other local restaurants and businesses are contributing ingredients, dishes and gift certificates to this special meal, including Jerusalem Kitchen, Faz Pizza, 19 Drips, Blom Mead Works, ecological containers from Begreen Today, plus many others, and of course Pilar’s Tamales and Zion Lutheran Church.
